Data Rights

How to access, export, or request deletion of your family's data.

Draft — pending legal review

This describes the real in-app request process. Please confirm response-time commitments and legal basis for any request refusal with counsel before publishing.

1Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you or your child, receive a copy of it, correct inaccurate data, and request deletion — subject to our safeguarding, legal, and record-keeping obligations described in our Privacy Policy. A parent can exercise these rights on behalf of their own linked child.

2How to submit a request

Signed-in parents can submit a request directly from their account — this goes to a dedicated staff review queue, not a generic inbox, so it's tracked from submission to resolution:

1

Open Data Controls from your parent dashboard.

2

Choose Data export or Account/deletion review, and add any note for our team.

3

Track its status — pending, in review, or completed — from the same screen.

Sign in to submit a request

3What happens next

  • Submitting a request never automatically exports or deletes anything — a staff member reviews it first.
  • A deletion request is weighed against safeguarding and legal record-keeping needs — see our retention section for why some records, like an active safeguarding case, may need to be kept regardless of a deletion request.
  • You'll be able to see the outcome and any staff note directly on the request in your account.

4Prefer to email us instead?

If you'd rather not use the in-app flow, or you're not a parent (for example, you're a former user or a school representative), email us using the details below and we'll help directly.
